100-year-old Lady Wins Gold Medal

A 100-year-old Australian lady Ruth Frith, competes in the women’s 75+ shot put final at the World Masters Games in Sydney Olympic Park on October 11, 2009. The old lady has thrown 4.07 metres in the shot put to win gold medal.
She is the only athlete in the 100 years plus category; it means no matter how bad was her result, she can still win the gold medal because she has no competitor at all. However, she deserves it because many old folks who are younger than her can’t even walk by themselves, not to mention participating in sport events…
