Seriously, I have this idea many years ago but LCD TV was not popular at that time, impossible for me to mount the bulky CRT TV on the ceiling. Anyway, someone has done it. A woman surprised her teenage son by mounting a 98-inch StarGlas60 television in the ceiling in his bedroom so that her son can lay flat on bed to watch the TV.

Patti Deni wanted to surprise her teenage son by giving him his own big-screen TV, so while their new home was being built, she contacted Williamsville, NY–based Stereo Advantage with an idea: Instead of mounting the set to the wall, like everyone else does, she suggested having the TV laid flush across the ceiling.

“Because it’s so big and has such a wide viewing angle, Patty’s son wouldn’t have to lay flat on his back necessary to see the screen,” Bohner explains.

This is a good idea especially for old folks homes and hospitals because the people in these two places are lying flat on bed most of the time.

I feel neck pain after long hours sitting in front of the computer, I think I have to plan to install my 17-inch monitor screen in the ceiling so that I can surf internet on bed, lying flat…but how to type and control mouse? With 17-inch monitor screen, I think I will get blind very soon.
