According to a report from the UK’s “New Scientist” website, Voyager I and II, launched in August 1977 by the U.S., have now entered the boundary between our Solar system and outer space. The Voyager’s carry “golden records”, which contain information to illustrate life on this planet for the benefit of any extra terrestrials out there.

The diagrams and pictures included on the “golden records” are different geometric figures and recordings of sounds from Earth.

Here is some of the most representative information contained in the records:

1. This picture was carved on a 15X23-cm-aluminum plate and its purpose is to inform possible aliens of the time and location Voyager was launched from. In the picture, there is a man and a woman, which might be the hardest part for aliens to understand

2. Voyager-I and II delivered to outer space more information, including sounds and pictures of various life on the Earth. The information, including 115 pictures, different natural sounds, music from different regions and cultures as well as greetings in 55 languages, was coded in a gilded cooper plate.

3. Besides the information, the space ship also carries something that might be shared by us and aliens, such as basic math and science formulas.

4. The picture defined the basic units of quality, length and time.

5. Four pictures of Mercury, Earth, Jupiter and Mars. Scientists have tried to tell those possible aliens the location of Earth and the fact that intelligent creatures live on it.

6. The molecular formulas of some most important gases in Earth’s atmosphere.

7. This picture explains how DNA works, the relationship between chemical materials and human genes. It also describes the complexities of gender and procreation.

8. Several simple movements of human beings, like licking, eating and drinking.

9. An X-ray photograph of a human palm.

10. The evolution process of vertebrates on Earth.

11. The picture displays the diversity of human society.
