Hello Kitty is the goodwill ambassador of Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for the ministry’s “Visit Japan” campaign which aims to attract 10 million Chinese to visit Japan every year.

A multi-million dollar musical, “Hello Kitty’s Dream Light Fantasy” opened in Beijing in March and is scheduled to travel to Malaysia, Singapore, and the U.S. as part of a 3 years run.

These are the photos taken during the performance of “Hello Kitty’s Dream Light Fantasy” in Suzhou, China on July 10, 2009. Em, it looks like the Disney’s stage performance but Disney has more cartoon characters compared to Hello Kitty.
