Ozone Hydrogen Powered Car
Jan 8
This concept car doesn’t look like a car, it looks like a can.
“Ozone” is a concept future vehicle i designed for Peugeot design contest . The concept was based on the words; ecological, lively, simple, accessible and pleasurable. “Ozone” is a hydrogen powered fuel cell transportation vehicle. The huge wheels of ozone is controlled by two seperate electric motor powered by fuel cells. “Ozone” with semi transparent glassses. It offers a great interior volume and exterior view. Huge glass doors slides 360 degree into its symetric metal body. Motors are controlled with a joystick panel in the dash.

awe(ful)some!?
Cool! If it tips over it will look like a soda can. :) LOL!
how much would one of these cost?
So, uhh, how are you supposed to park it? If you park on a hill, it will just roll down!!
Chris, I was thinking of the same question also :) Maybe it needs a stopper.
OUCH!… is what i will be saying over Speedbumps and Potholes with no suspension by the looks of it
If you are worried about it rolling down a hill, ask the dealer to throw in a free cinderblock or two.
It will park on a hill the same way a normal car does, obviously! Or do some of you think normal cars have square wheels?? Nevertheless, terrible design, IMO.
Soo… How are you supposed to turn it?? Lol, this is a very sleek design otherwise. Nice :)
Cool…

One little question, How do you stop?
You would be able to park it if there is enough weight below the center of gravity, in the living qualities suspended inside it – especially if it is concentrated near the rim.
Breaking might be harder. But one idea – you could have a counter rotating flywheel inside each of the big wheels, and the faster it goes, the more you spin the flywheel. This could also be a method of propulsion – problem of stopping is simlar to problem of starting – how do you get it going, unless you use rocket propulsion or similer – the engine when it turns the wheels has to create an opposite reaction of some sort. You don’t want the engine to make it move forward by rotating the interior in the opposite direction to the wheels.
So – accelerate instead by rotating a counter rotating flywheel, and deccelerate by syphoning energy from the flywheel to slow down the wheels. This also has advantage it is very energy efficient as well.
That should work.
nice!
It would start, stop, turn, etc the same way as a Segway – that’s obviously where they got the idea from.
As for suspension, I suspect it would be built into the seats themselves.
So uhm… how do you survive a car crashing into you? A motorcycle seems safer…
@Freaky
i’d say that there would probably have to be some kind of framing involved to mount the glass too. probably can’t see it tho because of the curvature of the glass vs. the lighting. if i’m right in assuming so, and they used some kind of shatter-resistant glass/plastic for the enclosure, then it would probably be like being in an American Gladiator ball- relatively safe at low speeds. obviously though, high speed collisions are very safe in anything.
@Bullhorn
How to park it is a valid question. You can’t park it like a normal car. A Normal car has a wheelbase, this doesn’t. On a regular car you lock up one set of axles. The car can’t move because to roll on the wheel it would have to lift the other axle off the ground. It can’t because of the weight and the fact that eventually the body would come in contact with the ground.
This vehicle has no wheelbase at all. The wheels are round so they’re roll and there’s nothing to stop them. So the only way to park this is to lift both wheels off the ground.
In fact, I don’t see a way to brake the vehicle at all all.
Being weighted at the bottom would be enough to keep it from rolling downhill. It cant roll over if the bottom is too heavy to goto the top! And of course that same reasoning could be applied to design stoping capabilities! You people need to think outside the box, you cant just think of it like a ball that rolls , otherwise you would probably be very sick when you got out!
it’s the Segway Car
:)
….i fail to see where the air bags are u would go straught through the glass
Your all clowns did you miss the “two individual electric engines” the car will steer in the same way a tank does one set of wheels turning faster than the other making the side with the faster running wheel overtake the slower one turning you in that direction. This being the case parallel parking would be a cinch, you just turn your car sideways in front of the park and roll in sideways.
